**RE-READ AGAIN**2020 REVIEW**
This book remains one of my favourite books of all time and always will. Roald Dahl is an exceptional writer, though I hardly see that a true-story book of such an amazing plot could be bad however it was written! This is the third time I have read Dahl’s autobiography and I’m pretty sure it won’t be the last.
**RE-READ**2019 REVIEW**
My opinion on this book did not change over a year, nor would it over two or three or a hundred. I think this is one of my absolute favourite books that I’ve ever read.
Roald Dahl lived an amazingly enthralling life. In this his autobiography he recounts his exciting years as an employee of the Shell company in Africa and a fighter pilot in the Second World War.
**2018 REVIEW**
I thought that this book was really well-written and generally gripping. An excellent novel, Roald Dahl recalls his adventures during the Second War as a fighter pilot in the RAF; he had many close calls and lost many friends, including the brave Earl-of-Leicester-to-be David Coke (pronounced Cook), who was shot down in action at age 26.
Although this book was sad at times, it was also hilarious and very well-written. I am sad that Dahl only wrote “Boy” and “Going Solo”—meaning that because of this I would certainly read both again!
