This book was again one of Roald Dahl’s fantastic books full of freedom and wilderness. Before writing this book, he would have let his mind run wild and come up with these amazing ideas in his brain, letting his pencil pass the ideas into his story…
Most children’s parents love their children and think that they’re adorable and cute. But, like I said, that’s ‘most’ people, of course. Some people think their children are mean old twits. And one of these people with those parents was a fabulous little girl named Matilda.
Have you read Harry Potter? Matilda is much, much, much cleverer than Hermione when she was five.
And as she grew up, she just got cleverer and cleverer.
And, of course, then she went to school. Her teacher, Miss Honey, was an adorable person who always understood any child in any of their ways. But Miss Trunchbull – the Headmistress – was much worse.
Matilda had seen her fling a girl called Amanda Thripp over the fence by her hair. And Matilda had once been in the Chokey – a horrible, dark room with broken glass and pointed spikes poking through it…
Can Matilda get back on her parents and Miss Trunchbull?
