The Baudelaire orphans are back, and this time they are not entirely sure whether they are orphans or not. After encountering their worst enemy Count Olaf and his girlfriend Esme Squalor in Heimlich Hospital, they stumble across the Snicket file, which tells them that one of the Baudelaire parents still survives.
As they go further into the mystery, Violet finds herself trapped in the hands of Count Olaf and his evil troupe, who are ready to cut off her head. Can her siblings help her?
