This week, we discovered a new learning site called Massolit, where you can watch A-level lectures on practically every Humanities subject you search for! As I finished the Iliad last week (read my analysis here!), we started two courses on that: one with Dr Emily Hauser, and one with Prof Richard Jenkyns. They’re both really informative and I finished both of them within the week!
On Monday, I finished off the GCSE Maths chapter on simultaneous equations, and revised mains electricity, series and parallel circuits, voltage, resistance and current in Physics. In the evening, I had my Outreach Maths course with Damian, in which we studied some really hard university-entry-level questions. Then I did some music theory and piano, and finished off the day with an episode of The X-Files!
On Tuesday, I slept in until about half nine (home-education at its finest!). It was Groundhog Day! So, as we do every GD, we watched the Bill Murray film in the evening with a mug cake (that last bit is a recent addition to our little family custom). But first, I did Maths and Physics in the morning and started my Iliad Massolit course with Emily Hauser in the afternoon. Then I had Physics with my Outreach teacher Dave in the evening, where we conveniently did some work on the Electricity topic (I’d been revising that all week!).
Wednesdays are days where I don’t have to do any Maths or Physics, so I did some more of Dr Hauser’s Iliad course and started writing my analysis of the epic. In the afternoon I wrote a little on my blog and started reading the Odyssey!
On Thursday and Friday, I did more Maths and Physics, finished my course with Dr Hauser and started the one with Prof Jenkyns. I’m absolutely in love with Massolit!
