For the first time in over a year, I enjoyed some small form of human interaction this week. On Tuesday, I met up with some of my friends for a walk in the woods – we certainly had a lot to talk about! My swimming lessons, Guides and netball sessions should start back again in April, so that’s a small level of normality I can look forward to!
The day before, on Monday (I’m not quite sure why I started off on Tuesday), we did Latin all morning – I’m on Chapter 4 already now! – and in the afternoon I made a cake. I had my piano lesson in the morning and did some violin practice in the evening before having my online Maths session with Damian.
On Tuesday, after our walk, I had a Physics session with Dave and I reached a groundbreaking 33% on The Count of Monte Cristo. The next day, my mum and I worked through some more of our Latin GCSE textbook, and I made some notes on Susan Wise Bauer’s History of the Ancient World. In the evening, Tilly and I started a new Netflix documentary series called The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann, and I’m still going with my Unsolved Mysteries!
On Friday this week, my step-brother William came over for the weekend and I went to my grandma’s house, where I’ll be staying until Monday. Silly me forgot to pack a lot of things, including my Kindle, so I dug out one of my sister Matilda’s favourite books, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, and started reading that. I’m only 25 pages in but I’m already in love with it!
Over the weekend, I mainly read my book, had multiple long baths and wrote my story Nocturne. I’ve had a lovely time at Nanny’s but it’ll be nice to get home later too 🙂
