Week #39, 27 September – 03 October

Monday

Sadly, I wasn’t feeling much better when I woke up this morning, but I was well enough to crack on with my physics! My mum wrote out a huge plan of exactly how we’re going to get through the syllabus in so short a time, so we have everything organised and I’m feeling fairly confident.

Today, I worked through a lot of the Forces and Motion unit (the first unit in the GCSE), which I’ve already covered but a good few months ago, so the revision was helpful. I had to stop earlier than would have been ideal as I wasn’t feeling at all well, but hopefully tomorrow will be a better start.

Tuesday

I felt way better today and managed to eat some toast and half my lunch! An improvement at least.

My mum and I took the opportunity to get right into my physics. We covered a lot of the rest of the Forces and Motion unit, including thinking, breaking and overall stopping distance, force diagrams, and the formulae I need to memorise involving force, velocity, acceleration and stuff.

…The rest of the week!

I’m starting to recover now, enough at least to really crack on with my studies. By Thursday, I’d completely covered the Forces & Motion unit and felt pretty confident about my familiarity with the content… until I took a past paper. I didn’t do anywhere near as well as I thought I would and now I’m super stressed! On Friday it was my mum’s birthday and on Saturday it was William’s, so I took two entire days off to celebrate and that’s put me behind even further. I’m starting to really worry about how well I’m going to do in November. Fingers crossed!

On the two consecutive birthdays, it rained so we basically stayed inside and watched Father Ted while eating cake! Nanny came round for William’s birthday too, and we had his specially requested ultra-spicy (I cried) chilli for dinner. Oh and we played poker too (Nanny included!!!).
