Monday
Tilly had her first Oxford interview this morning! That took up quite a lot of her and my mum’s time so I spent the morning reading my history chapters and drawing some Amy Winehouse doodles. In the afternoon, I had a swimming lesson (the last before Christmas break – apart from the one next week on my birthday which I fancy I won’t be going to 🤪). I then had a maths lesson with Damian in the evening.
Tuesday
This morning I got a very last minute, impromptu haircut! I thought I was getting a lash lift (for my birthday), but then realised I needed a patch test for the solution which we hadn’t booked, so we went in to get the test and thought I might as well get my hair cut while we were at it! I haven’t had a haircut in over 2 years since I got it cut chin-length. We went for the big chop and I now have shoulderlength hair again! Haven’t got a very good picture yet as I need someone else to take it for me, but this is what we’re working with…
Wednesday
Today, my mum and I planned out and got started on Biology and Latin GCSEs, which I’m taking next summer. We’ve worked out that if we do one hour a week of biology, I’ll have finished and revised the syllabus by the time I take the first exam in May.
In the evening, we watched Criminal Minds and had a delicious chicken stir fry for dinner!
(My birthday’s in 5 days!))
Thursday and Friday
On Thursday and Friday this week I did some biology, history reading and my instruments (which I do every day even if I forget to write about it!). For biology, I covered the first GCSE section which is on eukaryotes and prokaryotes. Prokaryotes are bacteria, and eukaryotes include plants, animals, fungi and protoctists. I need to remember that list!
Sunday
Our friends came round today! It was so much fun as we hadn’t seen them (or indeed anyone, really) in so long. We played a hilarious game of Who’s Most Likely and a round of Top Tracks, which we got for Christmas years ago. It’s my birthday tomorrow!
Monday
See my birthday post.
